What does your professional background look like?
I have a background in social media, copy writing, graphic design, digital strategy and website design!
What brought you to MINT?
Amanda initially reached out to me to see if I was interested in working for MINT Brand Marketing. I wasn’t familiar with MINT before, but once I looked into it I knew I wanted to be part of the team!
What are your favorite parts about working at MINT?
The MINT team is full of powerhouses who excel at what they do. It’s inspiring and motivating to work with a team that does such great work and is fun to work with!
What does your current role look like on a day-to-day basis?
On an average day, I hop between projects for most of the day, updating websites, writing content, and designing new websites. When we have a new site to design, I spend most of the day creating the design and adding placeholder content for clients to review.
What is your favorite part about your current role?
I love taking a client’s vision and bringing it to life on the screen. I use the information from the client, along with the brand guide we developed for them, to create a draft site and then work with the client to tweak it until it fits their vision. I love the challenges that come with it!
What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
I have quite a few hobbies, but on days when it’s nice out, I love going on walks in the park near my house, sitting by the river, and taking pictures of wildlife. If it’s cold (as it usually is), I’m an avid reader and will usually read through a whole stack of books in one weekend.
If you could give one piece of advice to someone just starting to market their brand, what would you tell them?
Invest in yourself, and invest in your brand. With so much competition in every industry, you need a brand that stands out and says “this is who I am, and this is what I do”. Even something as seemingly simple as a great logo can make a world of difference!
