Account Manager

Position Overview

The Account Manager is the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts. You will lead communication, manage timelines and scope, and ensure our internal team has clear direction to execute at a high level. This role is for someone who understands agency dynamics, can lead client conversations independently, and takes full ownership of their accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Client Leadership

Serve as the main point of contact for assigned accounts
Lead client meetings and provide strategic updates
Set agendas, document next steps, and ensure follow-through
Proactively communicate timelines, deliverables, and expectations
Build strong, trust-based client relationships
Work alongside Founder and Business Development Manager to build on client experience + service strategy

Project + Workflow Management

Partner closely with the Project Manager to ensure projects move efficiently from kickoff to delivery
Communicate client priorities, feedback, and expectations clearly to the internal team
Collaborate with the Project Manager on timelines, resourcing, and workload planning
Ensure client deliverables align with approved scope and strategic objectives
Identify potential scope changes early and communicate proactively to both the client and internal team
Maintain visibility into project progress and remove roadblocks when needed
Ensure all client communication and approvals are properly documented within our project management system

Strategic Support

Understand each client’s brand, goals, and KPIs
Contribute to campaign planning and execution strategy
Review deliverables for alignment before the client presentation
Identify opportunities to deepen or expand accounts

Financial Awareness

Monitor time, budgets and project profitability
Support invoicing coordination and approvals
Escalate budget concerns when needed

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in account management within the marketing, branding, or agency environment
Experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Confident leading client calls and presentations
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Comfortable navigating scope conversations and setting boundaries
Familiarity with project management tools (ClickUp, Asana, Monday, etc.)
Solid understanding of branding, digital marketing, and content strategy
