What does your professional background look like?
I graduated with my MBA in the summer of 2017 and started working for a company in Fargo doing accounting work. I quickly realized that I needed to be surrounded by a fun team which landed me in a corporate setting where I was able to work with clients across the US in the health insurance world. This role helped me realize that I was passionate about working with team members to help them excel. Therefore, before coming to MINT, I trained new and current employees on processes and system updates.
What brought you to MINT?
Amanda and I had a mutual friend that introduced us when MINT was hiring for the Operations Manager position. I felt an instant spark when I met Amanda and knew that we shared values when it came to work and personal lives. I didn’t want to pass up the opportunity to be able to work with her and the great company that she had built!
What are your favorite parts about working at MINT?
I am grateful that MINT values learning, which is something that I am able to do everyday in my role. I am also so lucky that I get to work with our close-knit team, we all work so well together and that makes it fun to come to work every day.
What does your current role look like on a day-to-day basis?
Each day can look but a bit different! I track billable hours to ensure that we are staying within budgets on client projects, manage our standard operating procedures and systems that we use, work within Quickbooks and research resolutions to challenges as they arise.
What is your favorite part about your current role?
I enjoy being able to find a resolution to a current challenge or issue that we are facing. I nerd out when I am able to put together an Excel spreadsheet that allows our team members to be able to easily understand the data that I am sharing with them.
What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
A majority of my time outside of work is spending time with my husband Tanner and our two boys, Decker and Tate! We love to spend time outside, by the lake, or playing with all things trucks + cars. When I am not busy doing mom things, I love to relax by taking some time to go shopping or binge reality TV shows.
If you could give one piece of advice to someone just starting to market their brand, what would you tell them?
I have learned so much being part of the MINT team but what shines through on all parts of marketing your business is all behind the branding. Having a cohesive brand across your website, social media pages, advertising, merchandise, etc. is what is going to keep customers engaged with your business.
Why do you think future clients should choose MINT Brand Marketing for their marketing needs?
Our team truly cares about our clients as people and not just a transaction. We excel in forming connections with each and every one that we work with in order to fully understand their brand and their needs!
