Visit Minot is the official tourism organization for Minot, North Dakota, which is known as the Magic City. As the city’s key promotional arm, the organization showcases Minot’s rich Scandinavian heritage, vibrant arts community, and growing appeal as both a travel destination and place to call home.
The challenge:
The Visit Minot team approached MINT through a trusted referral after realizing their internal team needed support to elevate their brand and expand their reach. With limited bandwidth and a desire to increase impact, they turned to us for a more cohesive, professional, and scalable marketing presence.
Our Approach
We began by building on Visit Minot’s existing logo to craft a refreshed and cohesive brand identity. This included a new brand guide with complementary typefaces, graphic patterns, and visual elements to strengthen recognition and appeal across all marketing channels.
From there, we designed and developed a new 24-page Visitor Guide to engage a diverse audience: leisure travelers, sports tourists, event attendees, and potential residents. By blending compelling copy that we collaborated on and custom illustrations and infographics, we created a dynamic guide that reached tens of thousands of visitors in 2024.
Our creative partnership expanded to include a wide range of collateral, including a dining guide, event flyers, banners, and print ads for national travel publications, all aligned with the refreshed visual identity.
Next, we tackled a complete website redesign and development, building a vibrant, intuitive, and content-rich experience that reflects Minot’s electric energy. The new site spans over 1,000 pages and features robust content on local attractions, dining, events, and lodging. Key features include an integrated event calendar and a mobile-friendly design that inspires action from travelers and newcomers alike.
The Results
Today, our work continues with updated editions of the Visitor and Dining Guides, each building on the last to reflect deeper brand alignment and storytelling. With each new project, we’ve helped Visit Minot engage audiences more effectively, expand their reach, and continue to elevate the city’s visibility on a national level.
