Job Title: Social Media + Marketing Intern (Spring Semester)
Location: Fargo, ND
Position Type: Internship (15-20 hr/week)
Length: January-May 2026
Reports To
: Social Media Strategist

Position Overview

The Social Media + Marketing Intern will play a key role in supporting day-to-day social media initiatives for MINT’s clients as well as our own social media pages. This includes content creation, scheduling, strategizing, and more. This position is ideal for a student or recent graduate who is looking to gain experience in a fast-paced, collaborative, and creative environment where jumping in and running with tasks is encouraged.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, creating, and scheduling content for social media platforms (i.e. Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn). This includes creating visuals and writing captions. 
  • Edit short-form videos and reels for social media 
  • Organize and maintain content calendars and asset libraries
  • Monitor social media channels, engage with followers, and engage with comments as needed
  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and client audiences
  • Ability to use AI tools responsibly and thoughtfully to support content creation and research
  • Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the confidence to take ownership of tasks and move them forward independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms and scheduling tools 
  • Experience with Canva is a must, experience with Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar tools is a plus
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn
  • Creative thinker with a passion for branding, storytelling, and digital media
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and manage multiple tasks
