When it comes to choosing a marketing partner, every business has unique goals, challenges, and audiences. That’s why at MINT, we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all packages. Instead, we create custom proposals designed to match each client’s exact needs, from brand identity to web design and digital strategy.
We sat down with Alexa, our Client Experience Manager, to walk through how our proposal process works, why it’s different, and what clients can expect when they start a conversation with our team.
“We’re very intentional with how we put our proposals together,” Alexa explained. “That first meeting with a client, whether it’s in person or over a call, really sets the stage. I always lead with questions like ‘What are your goals?’ and ‘What problems are you trying to solve?’.”
Many clients come in thinking they know exactly what they need, such as social media management, but that first conversation often uncovers something deeper.
“After talking through their goals,” Alexa said, “we might discover they actually need to build out their brand or website first. Other times, they realize they should start smaller and scale over time. My role is to ask the right questions to find what truly fits.”
This discovery-focused approach ensures that every project starts with clarity, strategy, and alignment, not assumptions.
Once the client’s needs are clear, Alexa collaborates with team members to build a detailed, accurate proposal.
“If it’s a branding project, I’ll loop in our creative team. For a website, I’ll check in with our web developer to confirm the technical details and time estimates,” she said. “That’s why we don’t use standard pricing packages, each proposal is built from the ground up.”
Every proposal includes clear scopes, deliverables, and timelines, with the flexibility to adjust as needed.
“A proposal should be a conversation,” Alexa added. “I always want clients to feel comfortable asking questions or suggesting changes. It’s collaborative from start to finish.”
One of the biggest advantages of a custom proposal is the ability to balance strategic insight with creative execution.
“Some people want to jump right into creative, things like logos or ads, without thinking about the strategy behind them,” Alexa explained. “Others are all about data and overlook design. But the best results happen when both work together.”
Depending on where a business is in its journey, the proposal might prioritize different aspects, from brand foundations to digital marketing strategy or content development. No matter the focus, every proposal is built around the client’s long-term goals.
At the heart of our proposal process is transparency, both in scope and pricing.
“We don’t just pull numbers out of thin air,” Alexa said. “Everything is tied to real time and real work. The money equals the time, and the time equals the value. Our goal isn’t to upsell, it’s to build something that genuinely fits the client’s needs.”
This data-driven approach helps clients understand exactly what they’re investing in, and how each hour contributes to their business growth.
The most rewarding part of the process?
“It’s when I can feel the client’s excitement,” she said. “Once we review the proposal and start talking through the strategy, you can sense their trust and enthusiasm grow. I love when clients ask detailed questions, it shows they’re just as invested in their brand as we are.”
These conversations are what transform proposals from simple documents into true partnerships.
